Two arrested after hijacked vehicle recovered, Wells Estate

Two 18-year-old males were arrested last night at 23:00 by SAPS Flying Squad members for possession of a hijacked vehicle.

This followed after a suspicious white Ford Bantam bakkies was spotted driving without headlights in Jijana Street, Wells Estate. On stopping and searching the vehicle, it was also discovered that the vehicle was having false registration plates. It was confirmed that the vehicle was hijacked in King Williams Town during August 2016.

Both suspects will appear before the Motherwell Magistrates Court on 22 November on charge of possession of hijacked vehicle.
