Western Cape: On Sunday 2018-09-30 about 20:30 members attached to Operation Combat followed up information about drugs being stored at two premises in Parow. During the search, drugs were found at both addresses in Duncan Street, Parow.
A 31 year old woman was arrested at the first premises. She was arrested for 1050 Mandrax tablets with an estimated street value of R63 000. Cases of dealing in drugs and possession of drugs were registered for investigation.
At the other premises a 28 year old woman was arrested for the possession of 630 Mandrax tablets worth an estimated R37 800. Cases of dealing in drugs and possession of drugs was registered for investigation.
Exhibits were booked in at Parow SAPS. Both suspects will appear in the Bellville Magistrates Court today on the mentioned charges.
The abuse of illegal substances is one of the root causes of violent crime, and the members of Operation Combat are lauded for their efforts to take drugs off the streets.
