Two men arrested in Mothibistad for possession of suspected stolen livestock

Two men, aged 40 and 41-year-old were arrested by Mothibistad saps members, Kuruman K9, Kuruman stock theft and Kuruman POP members.

On Friday, 23 April 2021 at 13:00 the officials went to a house in Seoding after a tip off from the community that there is suspected stolen livestock at Seoding village outside Kuruman.

On arrival at the said place, six sheep and 12 goats were found. The total value of the livestock is R32 400-00.

The two vehicle allegedly used for the commission of this crime were also confiscated. All livestock are impounded at Kuruman.

Later on the same day, a 49-year-old man came to report that his livestock is missing. He identified the impounded livestock as his. The complainant applauded the police for their outstanding work.

The two suspect will appear before Mothibistad Magistrates’ Court soon on a charge of possession of suspected stolen livestock.
