Two suspects arrested, and a firearm and a hijacked vehicle seized

Western Cape: In the early hours of this morning, the crime busting efforts of the Western Cape Flying Squad led to success when they followed up on information they had received about a hijacked TATA LDV, and they found it in a yard in Guguletu.

A search was also conducted at the residence and a Vektor 9mm firearm with 14 live rounds of ammunition were found. Two suspects, aged 40 and 44 years, were arrested and they will be appearing in the Athlone Magistrates’ Court, once charged

Criminals have nowhere to hide. We are out there to serve and protect the public, said the Provincial Commissioner of the Western Cape, Lieutenant General Khombinkosi Jula, in response to the arrests.
