Wanted suspect sought by Brighton Beach FCS Unit

DURBAN – The Brighton Beach Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit is making an appeal to members of the community to assist with regards to a wanted suspect Mhlonishwa Mkhize (36). He is wanted for the charges of rape and robbery that was committed on 28 July 2018 where a 43-year-old woman was allegedly raped and robbed.

Charges of rape and robbery were opened for investigation at Montclair SAPS. The accused was traced and arrested on 27 November 2020 and appeared in court. He fell ill and proceeded to receive medical treatment. He has not appeared in court since then and has been on the run since October 2021. A warrant of arrest has been issued by the court.
