Human Trafficking Awareness Week: Department to hold lunchtime silent protest in Cape Town

Today, the Western Cape Department of Social Development (DSD), will lead a silent protest along St. Georges Mall in Cape Town to raise awareness about the dangers of human trafficking.

DSD will be joined by some of our partners who form part of the Provincial Trafficking in Persons Task Team and our funded specialist anti-human trafficking NGO partners.

Our message today is simple: People are Not for sale!

The protest will seek to raise awareness on the dangers of human trafficking.

There will be an opportunity for photographs and interviews.
