I visited this impressive vehicle at the Cape Town Stadium today where it is sharing great tourist information with the thousands of Cape Town Cycle Tour participants.<\/P>
Over the past quarter, Thando visited 22 sites and together with the mobile tourism team, interacted with 70 688 visitors.<\/P>
The City\u2019s official destination marketing organisation, Cape Town Tourism (CTT), provides extensive visitor information services. Thando is their brainchild and what makes Thando so exciting, is the merger between technology and vast tourism knowledge which has resulted in real-time access to information.<\/P>
Thando, which means \u2018love\u2019 in IsiXhosa, travels around Cape Town meeting travellers and locals wherever they are and provides valuable and exciting information on what to do in Cape Town.<\/P>
With its mobile facilities, each Thando has the flexibility to support any event, whether outdoors or indoors and offers the following exciting services:<\/P>
\u2022 Free information brochures regarding tourism in Cape Town and the surrounding areas<\/P>
\u2022 Free distribution of the Cape Town Visitor\u2019s Guide that contains a wealth of information on Cape Town\u2019s new activities, hotspots, and a variety of free vouchers to use at various places in the city, which are valid for the year.<\/P>
\u2022 Booking services for accommodation, car hire, tours, activities and transfers<\/P>
\u2022 SANParks reservations as well as My Green Cards and My Activity Cards<\/P>
\u2022 Ticketing services such as Webtickets and Computicket<\/P>
\u2022 Free Wi-Fi in the proximity of the vehicle<\/P>
