A 27-year-old suspect,\nMohlomi Dumke appeared in Sasolburg Magistrate court yesterday, Tuesday\n2020-04-07 on a charge of murder. The case has been postponed to the 17 April\n2020 for bail application while the suspect remains in custody.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is alleged by the\nsuspect\u2019s mother that on Friday 2020-04-03 at about 05:10 her son, Mohlomi\narrived at her parental home and informed her that he strangled and killed his\ngirlfriend, Nomvula Diamond (25), thereafter fled. The suspect is staying at\nhis parental home in Walter Sisulu Section, where the deceased was found.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The suspect\u2019s mother\ninformed the police and the search for the suspect started. He was traced and\nfound at his grandmother\u2019s place where he was hiding, and arrested.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Preliminary\ninvestigation revealed that Mohlomi went to fetch Nomvula from her parental\nhome to come and visit him. On arrival at his parental home, they started\narguing which led to murder of the victim. She was found with head injuries and\nthrottling mark on the neck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
