The suspect\u2019s vehicle\nwas&nbsp;spotted travelling at a high speed. When the men saw the police\nofficers they attempted to make a U-turn on the M4 highway to evade police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Police officers gave\nchase and the suspects were successfully apprehended. Four men aged between 24\nand 52 were placed under arrest. All the stolen items were found in their\npossession. They were also found in possession of 14 rounds of ammunition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the victim\nof the house robbery, he was asleep in his home when he was awoken by his dogs\nwho were barking. He went out to investigate. When he returned into the house\nhe noticed that the sliding door was forced open. The suspects held him up and\nstole two laptops; cellphones; digital cameras; cash; jewellery and clothing\nbefore they fled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The men will appear in\nthe Durban Magistrates Court tomorrow on charges of robbery; possession of\nsuspected stolen property as well as possession of ammunition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The KwaZulu-Natal Provincial\nCommissioner, Lieutenant General Khombinkosi Jula praised the Durban North\npolice officers for the quick response that led to the&nbsp;arrest of the\nsuspects.\n\n\n\n\n\nSource: South African Police Service\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>DURBAN&nbsp;: police officers from Durban North responded to a report of a house robbery on Tara Crescent in La Lucia.
