{"id":24772,"date":"2020-05-03T04:33:00","date_gmt":"2020-05-03T04:33:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/southafricajournal.com\/?p=24772"},"modified":"2020-05-04T04:34:44","modified_gmt":"2020-05-04T04:34:44","slug":"suspect-arrested-for-possession-of-lion-skins-and-drugs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/southafricajournal.com\/suspect-arrested-for-possession-of-lion-skins-and-drugs\/","title":{"rendered":"Suspect arrested for possession of lion skins and drugs"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>NORTH WEST \u2013 A\n23-year-old suspect was arrested on Friday, 01 May 2020, in Hartebeesfontein by\nthe Hawks\u2019 Serious Organised Crime Investigation assisted by members of\nKlerksdorp Tactical Response Team and Stilfontein Stock Theft unit for contravening\nthe NEMBA Act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The police were\nfollowing up on information when they searched a house in Tigane wherein they\nfound three lion skins, mandrax tablets, half and full moon drugs and packets\nof dagga. All items were subsequently seized for further investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The suspect is expected\nto make his first appearance before the Hartebeesfontein Magistrate\u2019s Court\nwhere he will be charged under Section 57(1) of NEMBA Act \u2013 Possession of\nillicit animal skins.
