The operation was well worth the effort as several criminals were apprehended and an assortment of drugs and two firearms were confiscated.<br \/>\nIn Mbekweni tik and heroine were seized at an identified address while the drug dealer is still being sought. Also in Mbekweni a 33-year-old suspect believed to be a drug dealer was arrested in Madikane Street with dagga, tik and mandrax.<br \/>\nFrom Mbekweni the members proceeded to Paarl East where a 16-year-old suspect was apprehended with mandrax tablets, and in Chicago a 30-year-old man was arrested in Bona G Squares for the possession of tik.<br \/>\nIn Eersterivier a suspect was arrested for being in possession of two unlicensed 9mm pistols and ammunition after his residence in Whiting Street was searched.<br \/>\nWhile the exact values of the confiscated drugs is yet to be determined, the suspects are scheduled to make their respective court appearances once they have been charged.<\/p>\n<p>Source: South African Police Service<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WESTERN CAPE &#8211; Eager to bring those responsible for crime to book, members of the Provincial Integrated Team embarked on a crime operation last night in Mbekweni, Paarl East and Eersterivier.
