PORT ELIZABETH \u2013 Swift action by Port Elizabeth K9 Unit members who acted on information received about four suspicious males walking in Stanford Road with firearms, led to the arrest of a 38-year-old suspect for possession of a firearm.
\nIt is alleged that at about 00:30 on Saturday morning, 21 November 2020, the four males fitting the description from the information received were spotted near a garage on Stanford Road. On searching them, one male was found in possession of a 9mm pistol, magazine and 9 rounds of ammunition. The firearm is not reported as stolen.
\nHe was arrested for illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition. He will appear in the Gelvandale Magistrate\u2019s Court on Monday, 23 November 2020.<\/p>\n
