EASTERN CAPE – The Provincial Commissioner, Lt Gen Liziwe Ntshinga has expressed her shock and contempt at the callous and cold blooded murder of four people outside a tavern in Kwazakele last night, 3 April 2021.<\/p>\n
The Provincial Organised Crime Investigation in Gqeberha are on the hunt for two suspects allegedly involved in shooting the innocent people.<\/p>\n
It is alleged that at about 20:15, a grey VW Polo (hatchback) with two males arrived at the tavern in Mjamba Street and started shooting randomly at the people outside. Three people, two males and a female were fatally injured while the fourth victim was gunned down while walking home from the tavern and was shot not far in another street, allegedly by the same suspects. He succumbed to his injuries in hospital.<\/p>\n
The motive for the shooting and the suspects are unknown at this stage.<\/p>\n
The deceased persons were identified as Lusanda Matebele (age unknown), Luyanda Steven Fumana (36),Sisanda Cele (age unknown) and Sandile Ngqondo (35). All the victims sustained multiple gunshot wounds.<\/p>\n

All information is confidential and callers may remain anonymous.<\/p>\n
Lt Gen Ntshinga has called on the community to take a stand and expose these criminals. \u201cI am appealing to the communities to assist the police in tracing these heartless criminals and not to harbour them. Innocent lives are lost and we cannot condone such lawlessness. This act of criminality we take seriously and it will not be tolerated. Given the seriousness of what has happened, the 72 hour activation plan is implemented and a team of senior seasoned detectives have been assigned to conduct this investigation, trace these suspects and bring them to book,\u201d added Lt Gen Ntshinga.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
