{"id":30520,"date":"2021-06-02T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2021-06-02T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/southafricajournal.com\/?guid=3222756787612c3dee9266f4bdb54dc7"},"modified":"2021-06-02T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2021-06-02T00:00:00","slug":"alleged-fraudster-arrested-for-defrauding-car-dealership-over-r600-000","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/southafricajournal.com\/alleged-fraudster-arrested-for-defrauding-car-dealership-over-r600-000\/","title":{"rendered":"Alleged fraudster arrested for defrauding car dealership over R600 000"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>GAUTENG &#8211; The Palm Ridge Specialised Commercial Crimes Court granted R3000-00 bail to alleged fraudster, Mduduzi Nhlapo (33) who is facing charges of fraud.<\/p>\n<p>It is alleged that Nhlapo submitted fraudulent bank statements and payslips when applying for vehicle finance of R696 000-00 at a Malboro Merceds Benz dealership in April 2017.<\/p>\n<p>The Hawks\u2019 Serious Commercial Crime Investigation in Johannesburg executed the warrant of arrest on Saturday and subsequently charged Nhlapo for fraud at his Orlando East home in Soweto.<\/p>\n<p>Nhlapo appeared in the Palm Ridge Specialised Commercial Crimes Court on Monday and was granted bail. The case is postponed to 24 June for disclosure where he will be joining his co-accused girlfriend, Ntandokuhle Khumalo (30).
