The police members gave chase and apprehended the man and searched his Wendy house and recovered a revolver with no serial number. The male, aged 33, and a female, aged 29, were arrested and detained on a charge of possession of a prohibited firearm and ammunition<\/p>\n<p>In an unrelated matter, members of the Maitland Flying Squad recovered a hijacked vehicle on Friday, 25 March 2022 in Delft. Upon recovering the vehicle, members conducted a search and confiscated a 9mm pistol with ammunition. Five suspects between the ages of 16 and 30 were arrested and detained on a charge of possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Philippi Crime Prevention Unit was busy with patrols earlier today at around 01:40 when they spotted a group of males standing in Boundary Way. In full view of police officers one of the suspects disposed of an object. Upon inspection they confiscated a 9mm pistol without a serial number and ammunition.
