XCMG’s Belt and Road Initiative overseas service tour launches in Xuzhou

XUZHOU, China, May 29, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — XCMG’s Belt and Road Initiative overseas service tour officially set out this afternoon in Xuzhou. 27 ambassadors and commercial counsellors from 18 countries that are a part of the Belt and Road Initiative attended the launch.

The overseas service tour is the first major scale tour of its kind within the industry that will visit 20 countries according to the Initiative, focusing on after sale service, product maintenance and spare parts system upgrade and machinist visiting covering 1,000 workers overseas. XCMG will check approximately 10,000 products within the three-year warranty that cover 53.7 percent of its total products along with augmented services including offering free filters, examining product performance, instructing operation and maintenance methods and inquiring about construction information and collecting suggestions for improvement from clients. “XCMG aims to provide comprehensive construction equipment support to infrastructure projects in those countries,” said Wang Min, Chairman of XCMG.

XCMG is now taking lead in some regional markets, whose market share in Central Asia, the Middle East, Russia and Australia rank top three in the world. Exporting its products to 48 countries covered in the initiative which accounts for 76.1% of total export volume, XCMG has formed a matured system of sales, service and spare parts system in 42 of them, having 80 primary dealers, three manufacturing bases and four KD factories. So far XCMG has 17 spare parts centers and plans to build four more in Russia, Algeria, Sri Lanka and Cambodia.

Andrzej Pieczonka, first counselor of Trade and Investment Promotion Section, Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Shanghai, who participated in the launch, said countries, like Poland that have been developing infrastructure, offer Chinese construction machinery producers and companies such as XCMG investment opportunities.

In other countries such as Sudan, Qatar, Indonesia and Laos, XCMG has deeply penetrated the market. XCMG’s market share has reached 80% in Kazakhstan.
