POTCHEFSTROOM – Seth Maroke (42) appeared in the Moretele Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 8 May 2020, for possession of suspected stolen items. He was released on bail until his second court appearance on Tuesday, 15 September 2020.

The accused’s court appearance stems from his apprehension on Thursday, 7 May 2020 in Makapanstad, after police conducted intensive investigations following theft of steel palisades from a primary school in Motlhabaneng section in Makapanstad between Tuesday, 21 and Thursday, 23 April 2020.  During the arrest, police also recovered suspected stolen property.   

As a result, the Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Sello Kwena applauded the detective for ensuring that the perpetrator is brought to book and urged members of the community to report suspicious activities at schools by contacting their nearest police stations or calling Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
