Minister of Police, General Bheki Cele will on Tuesday, 24 December 2019 pay his last respects to late Warrant Officer Theena Pillay. Pillay was gunned down on Sunday.

An unidentified man shot at Warrant Officer Pillay several times, outside his house as he was leaving for work. However, the policeman managed to return fire, killing the suspect instantly. The Warrant Officer then succumbed to his injuries.

Members of the media are invited to attend the event.
