Police Launch Manhunt After Fatal Shooting in Ga-Kgole Village

Ga-kgole: Police have initiated a widespread manhunt following the fatal shooting of a 69-year-old man in Ga-Kgole village, Ga-Mamabolo, within the Mankweng policing area. The Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi, has instructed officers to exhaust all resources to locate the suspects involved in the incident, which occurred on Friday evening, October 25, at approximately 19:30.

According to South African Police Service, the victim was at his residence when two unidentified males entered and opened fire, hitting him multiple times on both his lower and upper body. Despite his injuries, the victim managed to exit his home and call for assistance. Neighbours quickly responded and contacted his family, who arranged for his transport to a local hospital, where he was unfortunately declared dead upon arrival.

Police officers retrieved spent cartridges from the scene. Currently, the motive for the shooting remains unclear, and no items were reported stolen from the residence. General Hadebe has emphasized that officers are working tirelessly to apprehend those responsible for the crime, stating, “They must face the full might of the law.”
