Suspects in possession of dagga collided with police bakkie

Police vigilance in Kakamas yielded positive results, when they pounced three suspects with dagga worth R17 000. The Kakamas visible police members, were busy conducting crime prevention patrols, when they spotted a suspicious vehicle parked behind Spar Supermarket, facing the oncoming traffic.
The suspects sped-off when they realized that the eyes of the police were on them. A high speed chase ensued, and one of the suspect threw away a black plastic bag filled with dagga, as they were evading the arrest. They lost control and collided with the police bakkie.
Suspects aged 25, 26 and 30, are facing counts of possession of dagga and reckless and negligent driving. They are expected to appear before Kakamas Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, 16 February 2021.
