The police on a massive manhunt for armed robbery suspects: Limpopo

The South African Police Service dedicated joint Task Team composed of the Provincial Tracking Team, the Crime Intelligence, the Modimolle Cluster Task Team and other role players have launched a massive manhunt for a group of armed suspects involved in an armed robbery incident which occurred in the early hours of this morning in the Modimolle Policing area.

It is alleged that on 2019-01-08 at about 05:00, at the Engen-One-Stop Garage next to N1 South, a Toyota Quantum towing a trailer was parked at this garage after it experienced mechanical problems.

Subsequently, these suspects unlocked the trailer from the minibus in an attempt to steal this minibus but they failed and fled the scene on foot into the nearby bushes.

During this incident, a total of 16 cellphones and undisclosed amount of money were robbed.

There were no injuries or fatalities during this ordeal. The police have opened a case of armed robbery for further investigations.
